An ode to my love of bread and all other carbs.
As we settle into the coldest months in Michigan, we are enjoying this time of rest with good food and family time. If you need me, I’ll be in front of the hot stove or reclining beside the fireplace with cheese.
Here’s what I’ve been making lately:
Cooking Real Food Saves Real Money
When we moved into our first apartment in 1996, I quickly realized that food was our biggest expense. It felt overwhelming, but I accepted the challenge and approached it as something we could control. I started cooking at home and buying ingredients instead of ready-made, processed items.
My pantry is stocked with our basic staples, and I cook from what I have on hand. I grocery shop to restock my pantry, not to fill a meal plan, and it’s simplified my life.
If you’re looking for a way to save money and eat real, homemade food, pull up a chair.
