Garlic Butter Cheddar Cheese Biscuits
Ingredients
- 70 grams cheddar cheese cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 80 grams butter cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 284 grams all purpose flour
- 11 grams baking powder
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons melted butter mixed with 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt to brush on top of baked biscuits
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 F
- Sift flour and baking powder through a mesh strainer
- Cut butter and cheese cubes into flour and baking powder until cheese and butter chunks are the size of peas. (pulse with a food processor and this step is done in seconds but you can also knock it out with a stand mixer/paddle or a pastry blender)
- Add the garlic, salt, and parsely, mix well.
- If you're using a food processor, dump into a mixing bowl and add the sour cream, then the heavy cream, mixing well by hand between the two-don't over mix.
- Bake at 400 F for 18-20 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Remove from oven and immediately brush with melted garlic butter and serve warm.
