It’s very mild, friends. If you want it spicier, swap out the paprika for a bigger kick.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a gallon-sized plastic bag, combine brown sugar, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add chicken breasts to the bag and shake to coat the chicken evenly.
  3. Refrigerate the chicken in the bag for 1-3 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to absorb.
  4. When you’re ready to bake, preheat your oven to 425 F.
  5. Arrange the chicken breasts on a lined baking sheet or greased casserole dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the center of the chicken is 160 F.

Notes

The sugar in this marinade makes this recipe burn quickly when grilling-I learned that the hard way. Sweet marinades work best baked in the oven.
